Finding Books in the Cabrillo College Library

Reference Books. These are books located in the Reference area which you'll need to use in the library. You can read or photocopy articles from them. (Reference books are shelved in the area near the Reference Desk.)  When using these books, look in the index or alphabetical article listings under such terms as Health, Health Care, Nursing, Medicine, specific cultural groups, etc.

Circulating books. These books are located in the Main Stacks area of the library and may be checked out for 3 weeks. However, since your fellow students are doing the same assignment at the same time, you might review the books you find, see if you can photocopy relevant pages, and then leave the books in the library (i.e., don't check them out) so others can also have access to the information.

  4. Type in the keywords that represent the topic of your search. Much of the material in this database is fulltext.
