Using EBSCOhost Web
- Select Full Text Articles from the Library Homepage
- Under the category General choose the title Academic Search
Premier
- Type in your search words, for example: Forensic science
- Check this box
Full Text
- Click on the
button
- The results should be 1000 (or more)
- How does EBSCOhost search work?
EBSCOhost Academic Search Premier treats your words as if they were a phrase: found in
exactly that order, left to right.
Now choose one good magazine article on personality tests (do not choose a Newspaper article)
- Type in your search words: personality tests
- Check this box Full Text
- Click on the button
Author name___________________________________________________________________________________
Article title_____________________________________________________________________________________
Name of the Magazine in which the article was published (listed as the SOURCE)
________________________________________________________________________________________________
What else can you do besides read this on the screen?
Print the article Click on the PRINT button at the top of the screen. It costs ten cents per page in the library.
Email the article to yourself or a friend: Click on E-MAIL Check the option box for citation and any available full text; type in the email address; click on the submit button.
Save the article to your storage drive Click on SAVE Check the option box for display to save; click on the submit button. select File/Save as and use .txt as the extension.
You can use fulltext online resources from and off-campus site if you have internet access and a current, valid library card. You must be at the library homepage http://libwww.cabrillo.edu Then select "Full text Articles" and follow the directions.
