Teaches information literacy and research concepts, skills, and techniques using a self-paced, workbook. Designed to build life-long techniques for review and analysis of information sources covering online catalogs, full-text periodical and newspaper databases, and Internet sites as well as library books and materials. Applies the process of access, evaluation, utilization, and synthesis to selecting and interpreting quality information sources for the construction of works cited lists. May be offered in a distance-learning format. Recommended Preparation: Eligibility for English 100. Transfer Credit: CSU and UC.
