Reading, making choices, and selecting a file or site to view are regular activities in the online world.Interacting with the online world takes place whenever you fill out a dialog box with your own words and then examine the results of your search.
You will learn what to do when you see a dialog box. You will learn to read and select the next step to take: either typing information into a dialog box or, selecting the next file to download and display.
As soon as you are looking at a dialog box in any environment
STOP and THINK about the words you are about to type.
Today we will examine using dialog boxes and checkboxes by:
- Finding a book in the Cabrillo library catalog
- Finding a Fulltext Magazine Article
- Learning how to open an Internet address
- Opening a free email account on the web
| 1. Use the Library catalog to identify books and videos in the library |
