Once you have an Excel chart, you bring it into a Word document by following these steps:

  1. Open Word (Start -> Word)
  2. Click on the chart in Excel. Some square dots appear on the chart, indicating that the entire chart has been selected
  3. To copy the chart -- hold down the Ctrl key, and press the letter C (for copy). Or, click on the menu item "Edit" at the top of your screen, then click on the sub-menu item "Copy."
  4. Go to your Word document. Position the cursor where you want to insert the chart.
  5. To paste the chart -- hold down the Ctrl key, and press the letter V (to paste). Or, click on the menu item "Edit" at the top of your screen, then click on the sub-menu item "Paste."

It's essentially the same steps you use for bringing an image into a Word document.
