1. Click on Start, then Programs, then select Microsoft PowerPoint. It's also on the Desktop.
  2. PowerPoint builds a presentation one slide at a time. You first determine the layouts for your slides. The default layout is for a title and a subtitle.
  3. You can select others by clicking on New (over on the right) or check out the Design templates.
  4. Try typing in text.
  5. Go to Insert -> New slide to make a new slide.
  6. Practice inserting images.
To find an image, try one of these:
To copy an image: right click on it and click on Copy Image
To insert the image: go to your PowerPoint slide and paste it (Ctrl V)

Save your file frequently with .ppt as the extension.

To view as a slide show, go to View/Slide Show. To go from one slide to another, hit Enter. To end your slide show, click in the lower lefthand icon shaped like a diamond and select End Show.

PowerPoint is a fun and versatile presentation tool. You can learn a great deal on your own by just experimenting.
