Career Sites Typically,
you can search a jobs database at a career site by keyword, category,
and job location. Applicant submits materials directly to the employer,
mentioning that the job was brought to their attention because it
was posted at such-and-such a career site. "Every person of working
age should make friends with at least one career site" is the
advice that job counselors give you. Career sites often offer these
additional services:
-
tips for writing resumes
-
salary calculators
-
employer profiles
-
industry overviews
-
relocation guides
-
career assessment tools
-
lists of job fairs
-
email notification of relevant job listings
Most require registration (free) to take full advantage of their
services.
