Challenge 7: Highly recommended Web site for a special need
Someone emails you at the police station asking where they can report an incident of phishing. What Web site can they go to? What's its URL?

Hint -- You can use Google to get a definition of phishing, if it's unfamiliar to you. Here's how:

As to what Web site to recommend: You need a quality Web site, one that has been scrutinized by others and judged to be good. You might spend hours looking for a Web site that fits those criteria. Or, you could use a directory of Web resources that has been assembled by librarians, who have done that legwork for you.

The directory you want is Librarians' Internet Index. To get to it

  1. Go to the Cabrillo College Library homepage <http://libwww.cabrillo.edu>
  2. Click on Search the Internet
  3. Click on Subject Lists and Directories
  4. Click on Librarians' Internet Index
  5. Search for phishing

You'll find that the U.S. Department of Justice has a report on phishing.
