Every search in Google assumes you want every word to be included in the results. AND is assumed to be between any words.

"......" double quotes around a phrase or personal name to keep words in exact order Quotation marks create a phrase which must be retrieved exactly as you typed it.
Example: "Materials Safety Data Sheets"
Example: "dental hygiene"
Example: "temporomandibular joint pain"

use the word OR to expand your search

use the word OR to include variations of terms

"tooth whitening" OR "tooth bleaching"

"Materials Safety Data Sheets" OR MSDS

"temporomandibular joint pain" OR TMJ

-   a minus sign eliminates any results with that word fluoridated water  -California

limit a search to one web source, or one domain

"Materials Safety Data Sheets" site:.gov
