The library subscribes
to a variety of fulltext databases that are rich and diverse information
resources. One of these is especially useful for learning about writers.
- Go to the Cabrillo
College Library homepage
- Click on Fulltext
Articles (second icon down, on left)
- Click on Literature
Resource Center (on left, at bottom)
- On the next
screen, in the search box under the term Author Search,
type in an writer's name -- last name first

When
you get your results, click on the line underneath the author's
name (that's the hypertext link to the text about the author).

in the search box, and type in your search terms, using quotation
marks to keep words together, e.g., "Santa Cruz"

Magazine Articles in EBSCOhost's Academic
Search Elite. |
EBSCOhost's Academic
Search Elite lets you search and display fulltext articles from over
3,000 periodicals. Here's how you use it:
- From the
Cabrillo College Library homepage, click on Fulltext Articles
(if you were accessing this from off campus, your library card number
is your
user ID)
- Select Magazine
& Journal Articles (EBSCOhost) (top left of your screen)
- On the next
screen, click on

- On the next
screen, click on
box
towards the top of the screen.
- Click in the
small box next to Full Text -- this will limit your search
to articles that are fulltext in the database.
Type in your search terms and then click
on the SEARCH button. Look for an article on a topic that
interests you.
From
the results list, click on the article title to get full information
about it.
