How Does the Internet Work?
Messages are carried electronically, and travel very fast over satellites. There are several ways of visualizing the connections that support the Internet.

Find a book in the library

  1. Go to the Cabrillo College Library
  2. Click on Library Catalog
  3. Click on Author
  4. Type in your last name. Does the library have any books by someone with your last name, or a name that is similar?

    Title of the book_____________________________________

    Where it is located -- its call number______________________

Newspapers from around the world are on the Internet

Television news programs from around the world. To watch these programs, you have to hold down the Ctrl key while you click on the resource. Ask me to show you.
