In your Word document, write a correctly formatted APA citation for one of the articles you find. Hints for Exercise 2 1. Select and use an appropriate periodicals database Since this is a nursing/medical topic, the most appropriate database to use is CINAHL PLUS with Full text. CINAHL stands for Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature.
CINHL stands for Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature. Click to go to
the Advanced Search mode. Type in osteoarthritis
on one line, pain on the next. Click to limit your
search results to those that are full text.
Scoll back up and
click on Select two articles to look at (click on an article title to get full information about it). Click to get to the full text of an article. This database also offers Evidence-Based Care Sheets
2. Go to your Word document and write a correct citation, following APA (American Psychological Association) style, for one of the articles. Cabrillo Library's Style Guides Web page leads you to sources that illustrate APA style. You can use the APA Style handout you've been given that illustrates how to write an APA citation for an article published in an electronic periodicals database. (On yellow paper.) Or you can have the database format the citation for you! Click on the cite button on the page with information about your article.
NOTE: If you copy and paste the citation into your Word document, you'll need to format it so that all but the first line of the citation is indented.
