Audio Cassette Players

Directions for Use

  1. Make sure the power is plugged in.
  2. Insert the cassette.
  3. Push the "play" button
Troubleshooting

  1. If one of the buttons does not spring back up after being in the down position, try pushing another button down. This will often release the jammed button.

  2. Some of the players are actually recorder/players, so tapes can sometimes accidentally be recorded over if the tab on the tape is not pushed in. The microphone on these recorder/player units is a built-in small rectangular "speaker" on the front of the machine labeled "Mic." Students can record their own voice if they so desire.

  3. If the tape won't eject, you can generally get it out manually by gently raising the tape up with a sharp, narrow tool of some sort. Please put an out-of-order notice on the machine when this happens. (The out-of-order forms are on the clipboard stored under the microfilm reader "Marigold."
