- If one of the buttons does not spring
back up after being in the down position, try pushing another button down.
This will often release the jammed
button.
- Some of the players are actually recorder/players,
so tapes can sometimes accidentally be recorded over if the tab on the tape is not pushed in.
The microphone on these recorder/player units is a built-in small rectangular
"speaker" on the front
of the machine labeled "Mic."
Students can record their own voice if they so desire.
- If the tape won't eject, you can generally
get it out manually by gently raising the tape up with a sharp, narrow tool of some
sort. Please put an out-of-order
notice on the machine when this happens. (The out-of-order forms are on the clipboard stored under
the microfilm reader "Marigold."
