If you can’t connect to one of the remote vendor databases (EBSCO, EB, ProQuest, etc.):
 

• Try one of the other vendors' databases; if other database is OK, problem is with the first vendor's database.
• Report to GR or call the vendor’s Tech Support.
• Document incident in Reference Notebook.
 
• If all vendors have the same problem, try connecting to any website (a new one that isn’t in the machine’s cache).
• If OK, problem is likely with our library server.
• Report to Leonardo& GR.
• Document incident in Reference Notebook.
 
• If nothing is accessible on the web, it’s likely a problem downstream.
• These are mostly short-lived problems, typically lasting from a few seconds to a few minutes.
• Check with the CR Help Desk (they probably know already) or report to GR.
• Document incident in Reference Notebook.
